An Order Placing Four Barangays of Tabuk City Namely: Barangay Agbannawag, Bado Dangwa, Bulanao Centro, and Bulanao Norte Under Temporary Lockdown and Providing Guidelines Thereof

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 11469 or the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act” states that it shall be the policy of the state to mitigate, if not contain the transmission of COVID-19 and that it shall promote the collective interest of the Filipino people; 

WHEREAS, Local Government Units are also directed to act within the letter and spirit of the rules and regulations and directives issued by the National Government pursuant to the said Act; 

WHEREAS, under Section 16 of Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 provides that every Local Government Unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare; 

WHEREAS, there has been a surge in verified new cases of positive infection of COVID- 19 at Barangays Agbannawag, Bado Dangwa, Bulanao Centro and Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City as per report from the City Health Office; 

WHEREAS, prevention and protection are among the most effective measure to combat COVID-19 to date; 

WHEREAS, in order to protect our constituents and prevent the virus from further spreading, the areas must be isolated to give way for the conduct of contact tracing; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ENGR. DARWIN C. ESTRANERO, City Mayor of Tabuk, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the following:

This order shall take effect immediately and shall be in full force and effect until otherwise revoked.
